hello everybody!
just a quick question regarding the coat on your dogs!
jasper has started to get a wavy section of hair on his rump end from aprox mid back to the base of his tail.
i have seen this before on labs but not on springers!
i asked the vet about it and he said it was a quite a common trait!
have any of your dogs got this?
and could you post pics up if so?
just so i can compare out of curiosity!
i have added some pics of jaspers wavy section!

thanks

Hi Michael.
My springer Banah has a very similar coat when it gets longer especially on his rump. He has such a dense thick coat that I keep him regularly clipped. For his own comfort during the warmer months and then I will let it grow a little denser during the winter.

Hi

I wouldn't worry about it, Ollie has the same. Never thought anything of it. Jasper's looks just like Ollie's tbh

cheers people!
i was just a little concerned at first as i have never noticed this on a springer tbh.
and the more springers i see, the rarer it seems to be! lol
i am glad i am not alone on this!
i suppose it just adds distinguished character, making him a limited edition!

Different dogs different coats, Coats change slightly as they grow as well, so no point comparing an older dog to a young pup.

Looks normal to me, Mikes right coats vary a LOT. Max's coat is quite fine and never needs trimming, others I know are really thick and need regular cutting.Jaspers coat looks like Max's. Lovely looking dog BTW.
